What is up with that? Argh. And the best time for me to call to make appointments is on my lunch break, which typically is the same as the lunch breaks doctors have apparently. It's frustrating me. :(
Anyways, and then earlier, I found out why I've been having such problems with my phone. Everytime I tried to call someone, I could hear them perfectly, but they couldn't hear me at all. My microphone is out! It just died. Rest in Peace. The headset works fine, but the little plastic piece that encloses the microphone and button fell apart, so now it's just a bare wire with the microphone hanging on it. Ghetto. So I call the Cingular store. They can't help me, I have to call the warranty department. My main concern was for my collection of ring tones and games. Cingular ring tones are $2.50 a pop, and their games are about $5 or $6. So I wasn't too happy to hear that when you download them, you are agreeing to be ....... By that I mean, they don't transfer to a new phone. You are agreeing to a one time charge, a one time download. And to think I thought $2.50 for ten seconds of Holla Back Girl was reasonable...
So I'm waiting until I get home to get angry with some poor unsuspecting Cingular employee. It won't be pretty. My bill's are high and their service is crap. I've been saving up some cell phone related anger. Ugh.
Onto more pleasant things... I've been working on Walt's website quite a bit. It still needs some work. It's a Flash page, and the music section is taking some time, cuz I'm completely redoing it. It is gonna have seven songs and a main page. They are all gonna be contained in the same Flash movie though, so I'm paying close attention to file size. I have one song in it so far, and it's about 840KB. Not bad, Flash has excellent compression. I also made a preloader which I think is pretty nice. Since the file doesn't take long to load, I can't really see how it's gonna work yet though. Check it out!
