Hey, So, can I just say, I'm glad that we are finally getting new game platforms. I have a Gamecube, which I haven't played in months. I was always kinda disappointed with the selection available for it. But in general, I just don't have time to sit down and play a video game...

This might change. Walt recently bought a PSP, which, I think, is over-priced. It's cute, yes, but really big. It plays DVD's, no, it plays proprietary disks that cost more than a DVD.
XBox 360, or XBox 1.5 as Sony execs have termed it, is coming out in time for Christmas. It doesn't seem like it will be that fabulous, the main advantage Microsoft has is that it comes out first. Playstation 3 is supposed to come out next spring, and although not officially released, the price is speculated to be around $399. I want one, because it will play DVD's, older Playstation games, and also will double as a web browser. It has a super fast processor built jointly with Intel. Nintendo is last, but not least. They don't even know right now when they are coming out with their new platform, sometime next year though. It's codenamed Revolution. Hot appeal for Nintendo: you will be able to have free downloadable access to all previous Nintendo games from the original Nintendo, SNS, and that other one, whose name escapes me at the moment. Plus, the prototype on display at E3 is super cute, and it's supposed to be really tiny.
Nintendo is also slated to come out with a new GameBoy- GameBoy Micro. About the size of a cell phone. Again, Microsoft wins with the cute factor. I haven't had a Game Boy since I was in about 9th grade, so I dunno if I'll be making this purchase, but kudos, Nintendo.
Oh, and for all three major platforms, can I just say, wireless controllers were definitely the way to go. :)
Anyways, new things to spend money on are always fun. And OK, can I just say, Microsoft, let's get with the program here, you need to release a new OS. And don't call it Longhorn (it's current codename), that's just lame. Anyways, Apple has come out with 4 versions of OSX in the last 3 years. I've been using XP for FOREVER! Throw me a bone here! Haven't tried XP media edition, don't have a spare computer to hook up to a TV... yet... But anyways, that only counts as a 2nd version of XP... that no one uses!
