In Arabi, up to 8 feet of water was reported, and people are climbing into their attics to escape the flooding. "We're telling people to get into the attic and take something with them to cut through the roof if necessary,'' said Col. Richard Baumy of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office. "It's the same scenario as Betsy.''
Well, I talked to Mikey last night. He's in Tampa as of yesterday... He sounded like he was trying to make light of the situation, but he sounded shaken up. I didn't realize how bad it was looking for New Orleans as of last night. I didn't pay much attention to the news over the weekend, but that'll be a separate post. Hopefully I'll get to see Mikey, but if not, I'm at least glad that he's here, not there, and that he's safe.
